PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC), a leading integrated petrochemical and refining company, held a foundation stone laying ceremony for its Olefins Reconfiguration Project (ORP), Propylene Oxide and Polyols Projects, which involve building major new production facilities for upstream and downstream chemicals in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
Samsung Engineering wins $820 million contract for Thailand PTTGC petrochemical plant, Olefins Reconfiguration Project (ORP). The project is located in Map Ta Phut, Rayong 150 km southeast of Bangkok. Samsung Engineering will execute on a EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) lump-sum turnkey basis with CB&I Technology Inc. as licensor.
The plant will produce 500,000 MTPA of Ethylene through the major Naphtha Cracker Unit, and further will produce 250,000 MTPA of Propylene. The ORP plant is expected to be completed end of 2020.
Niedax Thailand has been awarded to supply cable management systems to Samsung Engineering with high quality of Cable Ladder / Tray for Olefins Reconfiguration Project (ORP) and Propylene Oxide project in 2019.
