No fewer than 13 trainees from Niedax GmbH & Co. KG have been strengthening our teams at the Linz and St. Katharinen sites since 1 August.
Our company offers a total of twelve different apprenticeships. Every year, between 10 and twenty graduates start their professional careers.
The first day started for the apprentices at the Niedax administrative headquarters in Linz. On the part of the management, Bruno Reufels (CEO of the Niedax Group), Alexander Horn (technical managing director and shareholder) and Cornelius Steele (commercial managing director) welcomed the new trainees. They were given an overview of the work of the Niedax Group as well as other interesting information about the group of companies.
Then they went to the St. Katharinen site. After a welcome from plant manager Frank Limbach, Martin Schmitz showed the new team members around the Niedax main production facility. Carsten Fischer then introduced the new team members to the work of the works council. Jannik Hüngsberg, representing the youth and trainee representatives, was also looking forward to meeting the new colleagues. Of course, the trainees also received the obligatory safety instruction from Roberto Bieler. The introductory day ended for the trainees with a short photo shoot.
The apprentices at St. Katharinen now receive an introduction to the basics of metalworking that lasts several weeks. During the entire apprenticeship period, which lasts between two and three and a half years, all new colleagues pass through the different departments at their locations.
We wish all new trainees a pleasant and exciting training period and a good start to their professional life!
