Standard Support Construction Of The KL Cable Ladder

With this installation system, Niedax fulfills the requirements regarding the permeability of water in the area of sprinkler systems in accordance with the VDE CEA directive, provided that the functional maintenance cables used have VDS approval.
Its classification as a standard support system allows it to be combined with any functional maintenance cable/line that has a valid German classification report (abP) regulating installation on standard support structures.

Mounting instructions for a support spacing a ≤ 1.2 m Cable load q ≤ 20 kg/m

This installation option meets all the criteria of the standard support construction in accordance with DIN 4102 Part 12 for fire resistance classifications E30 to E90. The cable ladder with a rail height of 60 mm is available in widths of 200, 300 and 400 mm.

Ceiling mounting (using the example of KL 60.215 - KL 60.415)

Cable ladders with a rail height of 60 mm, in widths of 200 to 400 mm (KL 60.215 - KL 60.415) are used for ceiling installation. Two KL 60 cable ladders are connected using the KLVB 60/4 straight couplers with 4 FLM 8X13 F mushroom head bolts per coupler.
The cable ladders are attached to the cantilever brackets with 2 cable ladder fastenings KLTB 6.

1. The threaded rod can also be fastened directly to the solid ceiling without the DBG 12 articulated ceiling bracket using fasteners that have been verified for fire protection.

2. For 2 and 3-layer suspensions, the connecting sleeve VBSM 10/ VBSM 12 must be arranged.

The explanations and notes in the expert judgement report on standard supporting structures must be taken into account.

Wall mounting (using the example of KL 60.215 - KL 60.415)

To increase the support surface, the KL cable ladder has a rung spacing of 150 mm. The rungs are C-profile 2970 with a slot width of 16 mm, suitable for type B yoke clamps.

The couplers are connected with two KLVB 60/4 connectors and 4 mushroom head bolts FLM 8X13 F each.

Cantilever brackets KTAG 200, KTAG 300 and KTAG 400, with a square tube welded to the tip of the bracket, are used for wall mounting. Using the square tube, the required additional suspension with threaded rod M10 or M12 can be routed either vertically to the ceiling or back to the wall at 45° using the WAWG 12 bracket adapter.

The threaded rod can be fixed directly to the ceiling using an approved anchor. Alternatively, the ceiling bracket DBG 12 can be used to compensate for deviations in the drill hole spacing or unevenness in the ground.

Alternatively, the installation options with KTAG and KTUG can also be implemented with KTA and KTU and the KAWG 12 bracket adapter (exception when using WAWG 12). The KAWG 12 bracket adapter can be used to install the required additional suspension at the tip of the bracket. It replaces the welded-on square tube of the KTAG or KTUG.

Alternatively, the cantilever brackets KTAF 200, KTAF 300 and KTAF 400 can be used for wall mounting. With this cantilever bracket, there is no additional suspension at the tip of the bracket. The cantilever brackets are anchored with a screw ≥ M12

Cover fastening

If RDV covers are used, the maximum permissible cable weight must be reduced by the weight of the cover.
