The following standard support constructions are defined in the DIN 4102 Part 12 test standard:
Cable laying with cable ladders
Cable laying with cable trays
Individual cable laying under the ceiling using cable clamps
Vertically on the wall using cable trays and cable clamps.
One of the advantages of the standard support constructions is the uncomplicated combination of cable systems with cables from different manufacturers.
Taking into account a German classification report (AbP) for the cable system, all cables with circuit integrity maintenance that are approved for the respective design can be used - without further testing.
Free choice of cable
No commitment to specific cable types and manufacturers
Ideal for smaller projects
Numerous installation variants
If tests are carried out that deviate from the standard support construction, the test results only apply to the tested combination of cable and support structure.
However, this does not only have advantages, as the limited load-bearing capacity and the construction method result in higher installation costs. For this reason, standard support constructions tend to be used for smaller projects.
