Strain Relief For Circuit Integrity Maintenance Installation Systems - Effective Support Measure

 - Niedax | Kleinhuis | Fintech

A strain relief is a mechanical protective device that protects cables and lines from mechanical stress.

Effective support must be provided every 3.5 m during vertical installation, as the E30 or E90 cables lose their mechanical strength when exposed to fire and slip through the clamps. The cable then leads to high point loads. In the event of fire, this would otherwise lead to short circuits or interruptions.

With the ZF functional integrity strain relief (effective support measure), Niedax ensures vertical cable routing in cable systems with integrated functional integrity in accordance with DIN 4102-12 and provides the required effective support measure.
This strain relief is suitable for cable systems of the standard support structure with the functional integrity classes E30, E60 and E90.

Suitable for vertical installation with:

up to a maximum width of 600 mm and a maximum cable weight of 20 kg/m.

Mounting instructions

No special tools are required for mounting the ZF strain relief. Drilling the fixing holes can be done with an HSS drill for steel. The required feed-through holes in the two mineral fibre panels can be conveniently made with a serrated knife.

Loose mineral wool for filling the inner clamping space is included in the delivery in sufficient quantity.

Finally, the fully assembled strain relief must be marked accordingly.

The identification plate shown opposite is included in the scope of delivery. Detailed information can be found in the installation instructions enclosed with the strain relief.
